Futur Montréal announces its complete list of candidates for the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough

Montreal, QC – September 19, 2025 – Futur Montréal is proud to officially announce the closing of its list of candidates in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough, presenting a dynamic team rooted in the community, ready to achieve concrete change. These candidates reflect the diversity, energy, and aspirations of a borough that deserves a city that listens and takes action.
Leading the team is Bénita Jacques, candidate for mayor of Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension. Filmmaker, actress, producer, and advocate for cultural inclusion, Bénita is a Montreal native with deep roots in Saint-Michel. She offers a bold and compassionate vision for safer streets, affordable housing, vibrant commercial arteries, and real opportunities for families and youth.
She is accompanied by four strong voices for the districts:
  • Julian Valls-Pietracupa – Candidate for the position of city councilor, François-Perreault
    Initially announced in Saint-Léonard, Julian brings his experience and connection to Villeray, making him the ideal representative for François-Perreault. His commitment to fairness, transparency, and community building make him a unifying and results-oriented advisor.
  • José (Kilimppi) Reyes – Candidate for City Councilor, Villeray
    A recognized community leader and advocate for immigrant families, José embodies Villeray's resilience and vitality. His campaign focuses on strengthening public services, housing stability, and recognizing every citizen.
  • John Deave Jacqueline – Candidate for the position of City Councillor, Saint-Michel
    With many years of community involvement and a commitment to justice and equity, John has chosen to represent Saint-Michel. He will devote his energy and determination to improving quality of life, combating systemic barriers, and supporting families.
  • Mohammad Youssef – Candidate for City Councilor, Parc-Extension
    A passionate advocate for public safety, youth engagement, and small business support, Mohammad offers practical solutions to everyday challenges. Close to residents and active on the ground, he will be an accessible and effective representative for Parc-Extension.
