Montreal, May 19, 2025 — Futur Montréal, a new citizen force emerging on the municipal scene, announced that it has officially appeared on the Élections Québec website since Thursday, May 15, 2025, with the status “awaiting authorization.”
This important milestone confirms the receipt of the official application by Élections Québec and marks a significant step toward formal recognition of the movement. Co-founded by Joel DeBellefeuille and Matthew Kerr, Futur Montréal positions itself as a bold initiative that responds to a pressing need: that of concrete, modern, and inclusive change at the municipal level.
Even as the authorization process continues, Futur Montréal is already looking for committed, honest candidates rooted in their community to join this collective project.
